Chemalys has a long experience in Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry and has through the years been working with most manufacturers on the market.
This gives us a unique experience of the marked that could help us to guide our customers to the right tools for the right application.
New partners from May 2017
With close to 30 years experience in giving training courses in both chromatography we will increase our training program.
GC, LC and MS courses will be given att different levels.
With our partners we can tailor make almost any training.
Almost all types of testing of volatile organic compounds (VOC) could be performed with Thermal Desorption.
With our new partner we can help with most applications like
- material testing
- and a lot more......
Chemalys will as sub-contracted partly work under the hat from Hyperions.
High quality instruments at low price.
We have ex.
- Maldi & SIMS
- and a lot more..
LC/MS/MS training course in Lund
Chemalys & Smile Incubator
We will organize a two-day training course in LC/MS/MS at Medicon Village in Lund. The course will be 50% theory and 50% practice.
Course will cover
- API (Atmospheric Pressure Ionization) eg. both ESI
(ElectroSpray Ionization and Atmospheric Pressure Chemical Ionization.
- mobile phases
- scan functions (both MS & MS/MS)
- tuning and resolution
- mass calibration
- instrument settings
The system that we will use is a Quattro Ultima LC/MS/MS from Waters.
September 19- 20, Lund
November 1-2, Lund
Basic (not instrument specific) training in Mass Spectrometry.
The course will be given in Sartorius Stedim Data Analytics office.
SE-215 33 Malmö, Sweden
50 m from Hyllie train station (closest station to Øresunds bron).
Time : Sept 12th, 9:00-16:00
Coffee and lunch included.
Price: 4.500 SEK
The course is a one day course that will give you an insight in how a MS-system works. Will cover LC/MS, GC/MS as well as MS/MS.
The first course will be given in May and two times during the Autumn 2017.
Focus will be on GC/MS and LC/MS.
On a LC/MS system ESI (Electro Spray Ionization) or APCI (Atmospheric Pressure Chemical Ionization) are the most used but there are other techniques as well.

Scientific instruments win prestigious European product design award
The newly re-designed ‘xr’ series thermal desorption (TD) products from Markes International (Llantrisant, UK) have recently been awarded a European Product Design Award. These awards honour the best in the product design globally, which have the goal of advancing the appreciation of design worldwide.
The ‘xr’ series products were designed in collaboration with Sanders Design Associates Ltd (Cardiff, UK) and awarded Silver in the category of Industrial & Life Science Design.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, Markes International has always been at the forefront of innovation for enhancing the measurement of trace-level volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds by gas chromatography. Markes’ range of thermal desorption products, led by the flagship UNITY-xr™ and TD100-xr™ thermal desorbers, set the benchmark in the field for performance, quality and reliability.
Julian Sanders, Managing Director, Sanders Design, said “Markes commissioned Sanders Design to reappraise the design of its thermal desorption instrument products in terms of construction, assembly, aesthetics, human factors and ergonomics, and in doing so establish a more expressive design language, one that more accurately conveyed the high level of technical competency of the products and Markes’ pre-eminent position in the market”. He went on to say “the design intent was to use contrasting colours and finishes, to create strong ‘drop shadows’ in key areas where large panels would naturally align. Floating and overlapping offset panels were also key design features, which help to create the products’ distinct character”.
